About The Position

POSITION PENDING BUDGET APPROVAL MUST APPLY ON FRONTLINE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION Responsibilities: Instructional Support for Teachers Model multisensory strategies (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile) in real classroom settings. Co-plan and co-teach lessons that emphasize hands-on learning, manipulatives, movement, and technology integration. Provide lesson feedback focused on student engagement, questioning techniques, and active participation rather than lecture delivery. Professional Development & Training Design workshops and learning sessions on multisensory math approaches (e.g., number talks, math games, real-world problem solving). Introduce innovative tools (digital platforms, interactive whiteboards, virtual manipulatives) to enhance instruction. Lead teacher learning communities to share strategies, reflect, and refine practice Coaching & Mentoring Offer constructive, non-evaluative feedback. Encourage risk-taking with new strategies and provide ongoing support as teachers shift away from lecture-based methods. Create individualized coaching cycles with clear, measurable teacher goals. Resource Development Curate and share materials such as math games, manipulatives, graphic organizers, and project-based learning guides. Develop sample lesson plans that showcase multisensory and inquiry-based teaching. Provide strategies for differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including English Learners and students with disabilities. Data-Informed Instruction Help teachers analyze student performance data to identify gaps in engagement and conceptual understanding. Suggest targeted multisensory interventions and enrichment strategies based on data. Building a Culture of Engagement Promote math as creative, exploratory, and relevant to students' lives. Support teachers in using group work, math discourse, and collaborative problem-solving. Encourage a classroom environment where mistakes are valued as learning opportunities. Collaboration & Communication Serve as a liaison between teachers, administrators, and curriculum leaders on best practices for engaging math instruction. Requirements

  • Middle School Math Certification
  • Experience working with General, English (EL) and Special Education Elementary and Middle School Students.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents and community during the duration of the program.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
  • Must be a critical thinker, problem solver and respect others.
  • Must complete all tasks assigned for a successful program.
