About The Position

The Logan County School District is seeking a Math Coach to support the instructional needs of students in grades P-8. The district is committed to enabling all students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become successful, contributing citizens. The Math Coach will play a vital role in enhancing the instructional capacity of teachers and improving student outcomes in mathematics. This position will remain open until filled, and the start date is set for July 1, 2025.

Requirements

• Valid teaching certification in Kentucky.
• Experience in teaching mathematics at the elementary or middle school level.
• Strong understanding of math pedagogy and instructional strategies.
• Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instruction.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies.
• Familiarity with ACT study programs.
• Previous coaching or mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in the implementation of effective math instruction strategies.
• Provide professional development and coaching to enhance teachers' math teaching skills.
• Collaborate with educators to analyze student data and improve instructional practices.
• Assist in the development and implementation of math curriculum aligned with Kentucky Core Academic Standards.
• Participate in the Instructional Rounds process to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
