Aspen Learning Lab is seeking a passionate and qualified Math and Computer Science Homeschool Teacher to join our team in Atherton, CA, starting in September 2024. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work one-on-one with middle and high school students, focusing on math and computer science curricula. Our ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of these subjects and be able to curate and facilitate engaging lessons that inspire students to love learning through hands-on activities and positive reinforcement. At Aspen Learning Lab, we aim to meet the social, emotional, and academic milestones of our students. We are looking for creative educators who can problem-solve and think critically, demonstrating a passion for empowering students to grow both emotionally and academically. The role requires the ability to connect with students and their families, utilizing best practices in teaching to foster a supportive learning environment. The teacher will work collaboratively with a team to develop effective teaching strategies and create tailored lesson plans that integrate project-based learning activities. The successful candidate will employ a variety of educational techniques, utilizing both informal and formal assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Additionally, the teacher will provide weekly updates on student progress and help students build their social and emotional competencies, self-esteem, and confidence.
