About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Probability, Statistics, and Combinatorics.
  • Proficiency in a modern, object-oriented programming language such as C++ with appropriate use of object-oriented design.
  • Understanding of core programming concepts and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with team members and external contacts.
  • Ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
  • Ability to pass a thorough background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Writing programs and performing analyses to calculate mathematical features of games.
  • Manipulating, parsing, or reorganizing large data files into standard formats for testing.
  • Conducting and interpreting statistical testing on game simulation results and RNG data.
  • Reading and interpreting jurisdictional requirements and consulting for interpretation.
  • Modifying programs and analyses developed by others to meet testing needs.
  • Reviewing, understanding, and documenting source code written in various languages.
  • Writing project reports summarizing testing conducted and results.
  • Reviewing analysis work conducted by others for accuracy.
  • Communicating professionally and courteously with external clients on technical topics.
  • Collaborating effectively with other members of the Math Department and other employees.
