About The Position

Chamberlain College of Nursing is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty member to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, specifically focusing on Maternal-OB Nursing. This role involves mentoring nursing students in an inpatient clinical setting, emphasizing family-centered approaches to maternal and newborn care. The faculty member will be responsible for implementing the college's curriculum, evaluating student performance, and contributing to the overall development of the nursing program.

Requirements

• A Master's in Nursing (MSN) or doctoral degree (DNP/PhD) in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• An unencumbered Florida nursing license.
• Active BLS certification from a recognized provider.
• At least two years of professional experience within the last five years as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care.
• Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their performance based on course objectives.
• Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies and procedures.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with students' knowledge and skill competency.
• Correct and return homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and the College.
• Keep course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
• Participate in the implementation of the College Assessment Program and campus retention efforts.
• Serve as a professional role model for faculty, staff, and students.
