Ultrasound Technologist – Full Time, 1st Shift (40 hours/week) The Ultrasound Technologist performs obstetric diagnostic ultrasound studies under the direction of a Perinatologist, demonstrating professionalism and advanced knowledge of reproductive anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities include performing a full range of obstetric and pelvic ultrasound exams such as complete and limited OB studies, biophysical profiles, multiple gestation exams, transvaginal/cervical length studies, pelvic ultrasounds, and assisting with amniocentesis. The technologist monitors and assesses patient status, obtains accurate medical histories, and effectively communicates pertinent clinical information to appropriate providers and staff. Additional duties include documenting and performing routine equipment calibration, inspection, and maintenance; reporting malfunctions; participating in quality improvement initiatives; and completing annual competencies and required education. The role also involves clerical and operational support such as patient registration, scheduling coordination, maintaining medical records, ordering supplies, preparing reports, charging, faxing, transporting patients as needed, stocking the department, and cleaning patient rooms and equipment. Requirements

  • Formal training and current RDMS registration required
  • Registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within one year of hire
  • Current BCLS certification is required within 90 days of hire
