The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Boston University Medical Center is recruiting for a full-time Academic Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist. This position has primarily clinical responsibilities, including coverage of the antepartum service, obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, perinatal consultation, and optional management of the labor floor. All faculty members are expected to participate in resident and medical student education. This position is co-listed with an open position for Director of Quality and Safety for the Department of OB/GYN at Boston Medical Center, Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. We invite qualified MFM candidates to apply concurrently for the Director of Quality and Safety role, listed separately. MFM faculty are engaged in funded research in hypertension, health-related social needs, and substance use disorders, among other areas. Our OB-GYN ambulatory care clinic is a busy academic practice, with approximately 55,000 visits per year. 30% of our current faculty and 65% of our current residents identify as Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM). We have an OB/GYN residency program with five residents per year and currently have the following high-risk specialty clinics: HIV, substance use disorder, diabetes, as well as a specialty clinic for refugees and asylum seekers.
