About The Position

The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist committed to an academic career in Gynecology & Obstetrics. The position will hold a rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Established more than 25 years ago, the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division was one of the first specialty units in the country. Today the division provides services at Emory Perinatal Center at Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Perinatal Center at Decatur, and the Grady Regional Perinatal Center, the largest of only six regional high-risk infant care centers in the south. The division is seeking an MFM specialist to serve at GMH, Emory Decatur, Emory Johns Creek and Emory Midtown Hospitals.

Requirements

• Must have a terminal degree (MD or DO).
• Successfully completed a 4-year ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program.
• Successfully completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship training program.
• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Licensure by the Georgia Composite Medical Board will be required prior to commencement of employment.

Responsibilities

• Providing consultative services for the General obstetricians in the treatment of obstetric and maternal fetal medicine concerns.
• Supervising sonographers assigned to the clinical practice location.
• Providing lectures to fellows, residents and medical students as requested.
• Attending Grand Rounds, M&M Conferences, Journal Club, Division meetings and other Departmental activities.
