Requirements

• Full knowledge of codes, standards, policies, and procedures.
• General knowledge of chemistry, metallurgy, and physics.
• Specific knowledge of mechanical and electrical testing.
• Specific knowledge of quality principles and statistics.
• General knowledge of tracking, trending, and reporting.
• Skills in procedures development and application, fraudulent materials identification, and assessments.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and perform physical tasks related to inspections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct receipt inspection of safety and non-safety related materials.
• Maintain data and documentation for tracking and trending.
• Conduct testing activities in materials verification laboratory.
• Verify test equipment and calibrate for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain databases for material verification lab.
• Conduct and advise on complex testing activities.
• Research station deviation reports and vendor material deficiency notices.
• Assist in expediting material needs and resolving deficiencies.
• Perform duties of supervisor in absence of supervisor.
• Develop materials verification testing procedures.
• Conduct qualification training on material verification laboratory test equipment.
