About The Position

Providence Surgery and Procedure Center has an opening for a full time Materials Tech / Patient Care Tech. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Completion of training for Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant. Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrate necessary clinical competency.
  • Current CPR.
  • Computer skills and strong organization skills needed.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities needed.
  • Previous experience in hospital supply chain is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, squat and lift heavy items above your head and shoulders.
  • Ability to work in a clean and sterile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment.
  • Maintaining an appropriate inventory of all medical supplies, receiving and stocking of all medical supplies to their assigned area.
  • Provides support to the surgical team, and provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility.
  • Communicates appropriate information to other team members.
  • May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include, but are not limited to, providing patient care in other peri-operative departments.
