The Materials Supervisor is responsible for ensuring daily efficient, accurate, and timely warehouse operations. These operations include worker's safety, receiving, storage, order picking, shipping, inventory management, and warehouse facility management. The Materials Supervisor works under the parameters as defined by precedent, safety, quality, cost, and time constraints. The incumbent is expected to lead and direct associates in warehouse procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective · actions. Lead the implementation of the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational · standards as outlined in the plant accountability list in order to achieve targeted RCR. Assist in the overall efficiency of the operation of the plant by monitoring inventories. Assist in the efficient scheduling of personnel. Reconcile inventory going to and from production on a daily basis. Monitor inbound loads to arrive timely to cover Production needs. Inspect inbound carriers to minimize loss of damages. Monitor operations to ensure inventory is properly handled in loading and unloading. Conduct annual physical inventories. Investigate and approve all invoices for warehouse and production supplies. Optimize the warehouse footprint. Assist with the department budget. Assist with the supervision of the Warehouse staff including but not limited to performance · management and employee development, etc. Partner with business leaders on implementation of process improvement (Six Sigma / Lean), including leading change initiatives, planning, and facilitation. · Works with Corporate Procurement to release and coordinate delivery of ingredients, packaging supplies, etc. to the factory in a timely manner to support the production schedule while maintaining minimum inventory necessary to meet working capital needs. · Must view planning needs and longer lead time items to insure supplies are available to support schedules outside the scheduling time horizon. · Works closely with warehouse operations and inventory control functions to recognize inventory adjustments, cycle count and shelf life expiration that can change the supply plans. · Daily planning, monitoring, evaluating and coordination of factory raw materials and packaging supplies to ensure production schedules are met; monitor inventory levels, validate incoming deliveries, set-up inbound and outbound STOs, purchase orders or requisitions, and ensure adequate documentation are maintained. · Direct, manage, monitor and reconcile raw materials shipped to off-site warehouses for storage to provide support to the factory’s rolling 4-week production schedule. · Maintain direct contact with suppliers to keep aware of new developments, to encourage compliance with KraftHeinz requirements, and to obtain assistance in emergency situations. · Implement procedures to guarantee effective and expeditious ordering of raw materials. · Input re-supply orders, purchase orders and requisitions, secure freight quotes, assist Corporate contract maintenance on active ingredients for ordering accuracy, audit receiving documentation, invoices for payment, make invoice adjustments as required, and follow-up with vendor on any issues. · Assist and coordinate R&D on reformulation, bill of material changes, new product development and testing to ensure material is within Heinz specifications and timely deliveries. · Weekly Schedule Review meetings with Production covering the 4-week schedule to aide in firming orders within SAP. · Manages the SAP facility master data. · Other duties as assigned.
