About The Position

Eaton’s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking a Materials Supervisor. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $120K a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This role requires working on-site M-F in Raleigh, NC .. with work hours 6 am - 2pm. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations, Distribution, or Engineering in a manufacturing environment ..OR. HS with 5 years of same experience.
  • Minimum 1 years of direct manufacturing supervisory experience.

  • Required working knowledge and experience with computers.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience involving manufacturing plant receiving, shipping, and material handling .
  • Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP shipping, receiving and stock room processes.
  • Warehouse management system (WMS) experience.
  • Forklift certification
  • Lean Six Sigma/ Continuous improvement project experience.
  • Effective people management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize several concurrent projects.
  • Effective English written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision for the plant receiving, shipping, and material handling team
  • Manage movement of shipments from shipping and receiving functions to plant warehouse area, the Raleigh Distribution Center and third-party warehouse providers
  • Manage internal warehouse to include kitting operations, cycle count program and provide required reporting to operations and finance management
  • Identify and implement process improvements in materials management to support ERP/MRP excellence and standardized execution of activities.
  • Instill and maintain transactional discipline related to material movement
  • Responsible for developing and implementing optimal warehouse layout to support Lean Manufacturing goals
  • Work with quality and suppliers to identify packaging concerns to avoid inbound freight damage
  • Monitor goods movements with errors and work with manufacturing team to resolve
  • Participate in employment, staffing and performance management decisions, and maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance.
  • Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development.
  • Drive plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives stemming from RPO Key Projects and others as deemed by Focus Factory and Plant Managers
  • Maintain all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules.
  • Champion the use of Eaton systems and tools to ensure appropriate execution within assigned areas
  • Engage employees in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving.
  • Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture.
  • Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
