Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Waterloo Function: Operations (CA) Title: Materials Specialist - 119211 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Materials Specialist for Drivetrain Components located in Waterloo, Iowa, you will: Facilitate the flow of material through a complex manufacturing supply chain to support on-time delivery to assembly, service, and inter-factory customers. Requirements

  • Effective communicator who thrives in a team environment.
  • Experience that demonstrates effective multi-tasking, prioritization skills, and the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
  • One or more years of experience utilizing SAP-PP (Production Planning) parameters and transactions with the demonstrated result of achieving desired delivery metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule in a cross-functional shop-floor team environment under compressed manufacturing lead time conditions.
  • One or more years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience that demonstrates a basic understanding of change control concepts.
  • Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor’s degree in a Business/Supply Chain related discipline or a minimum of one year of experience in supply chain management or industrial manufacturing operational role.

Nice To Haves

  • Working or collaboration experiences with Drive Train Components shop floor scheduling.
  • At least one year of working experience using SAP-PP (Production Planning) transactions in a divergent flow or job shop environment.
  • Experience with Legacy material planning systems used at John Deere – (CWIS – Common Worldwide Inter-factory System) for service parts fulfillment and Material Requirements Planning.
  • Understanding of Bill of Material (BOM)
