About The Position

The Materials Specialist (South) at We Energies is responsible for managing warehouse activities within a distribution center and remote warehouses. This role involves working collaboratively with business units, contractors, and suppliers to ensure material and service requirements are met. Requirements

• Valid driver's license and compliance with company driving requirements.
• Ability to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) within 90 days of entry into the job for certain business units.
• Compliance with D.O.T. CDL drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Ability to satisfy all Company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, including a background investigation.
• Demonstrate ability to perform physical functions of the position by completing a Physical Capacity Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Work with business units, contractors, and suppliers to define and schedule resources to meet material and service requirements.
• Order, receipt, and inventory materials using SAP.
• Monitor storeroom levels and conduct physical reviews of stock balances to investigate and adjust discrepancies.
• Unload materials, inspect for damage, and enter data into the computer for identification and tracking.
• Contact suppliers and the sourcing group to resolve shipment and invoicing problems.
• Use equipment and hand tools to distribute materials to internal and external customers.
• Handle and prepare materials for delivery at various locations in the WE service territories.
• Coordinate the packaging of materials for delivery and site delivery of materials and equipment as requested.
• Deliver materials to job sites or other service centers.
• Operate a forklift as required.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
