More about the Material Science Co-op/Intern at Honda The below descriptions reflect potential environments and duties within our various Material Science Co-op/Intern positions that we offer. Work environments and projects may include but are not limited to Manufacturing (Casting, Paint, Product Engineering): Support mass production with failure analysis. Support new model groups with new materials/processes qualification and specification testing. Prepare samples for metallurgical evaluation - cutting, grinding, and polishing. Perform metallurgical testing (metallographic, hardness testing, tensile/compression testing, etc.). Summarize test results in report form and present investigation results. Collection, organization, and analysis of data to develop improvement activity.
