About The Position

Materials Quality Engineer - Fall 2026 Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission. The Role: Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a Materials Quality Engineer - MFAB Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

Requirements

  • Must be an actively enrolled student eligible for a co‑op program.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings, GD&T, or metrology is beneficial.
  • Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Interest in quality engineering, fabrication processes, and precision manufacturing
  • Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or related STEM fields
  • Graduation: 2026–2027 (Sophomore or Junior standing preferred)
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit or stand and walk extended periods while performing inspections or sampling activities. This also includes sitting portions of the day while completing documentation, data entry or root cause analysis work.
  • Eligibility: Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September.
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with quality investigations, including root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support incoming inspection and evaluation of fabricated mechanical components.
  • Analyze non‑conformances, trends, and supplier‑related issues.
  • Help develop or update quality documentation, such as inspection plans, work instructions, print specifications and control plans.
  • Participate in process capability studies and measurement system evaluations.
  • Work cross‑functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing defects and improving process stability.
