About The Position

Position Summary / Perform duties related to preparation and staging of raw material. Duties include saw operation, water jet operation, organizing and staging materials for machinists and fabricators. Additional duties include assisting in the unloading of raw material trucks in deliveries when necessary and preparing surface finishes relative to Retech workmanship standards i.e., polishing, sandblasting, etc., and providing support to assembly team as needed.

Requirements

Able to drive forklifts.
Able to use overhead cranes.
Has a knowledge of rigging.

Organized and detail oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to be manage time effectively to meet deadlines and stay productive.
Data entry proficiency.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Versatile and willing to help the manufacturing team while also putting safety as a top priority.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external customers.
Exceptional organization skills with attention to detail.
Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Detail-orientated with ability to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

Prepare metal surfaces for painting, including sandblasting.
Painting of fabricated metal parts.
Prepare raw material for fabrication, including saw cutting.
Read technical instructions and assembly drawings.
Use a variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
Will work closely with machinists and fabricators to prepare raw materials for production.
Replenish supplies.
Measure materials with rulers and calipers.
Other jobs as needed to benefit the manufacturing team.
Maintain cleanliness and organization according to safety guidelines.
Be an active team member in the manufacturing plant and assist other employees.
