Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon has an opening for a Materials Planning SIOP, Sr Analyst. This position is responsible for overseeing, directing, and controlling work to and from the production floor in the way of work order management. The Production Control Analyst is the main communication conduct working between Operations Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, & the Factory to meet production goals. Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a leading designer and manufacturer of focal plane arrays and flight-based camera systems supporting a myriad of defense, surveillance, space, and weather tracking applications. RVS is split into two manufacturing operations groups: (1) Focal Plane Operations & (2) Camera & Sensor Packaging. This role is nested within Camera & Sensor Packaging and reports directly to the Production Control Manager. Prospective hires will work on a team of 18 Production Control Analysts, all of which sit in one of two administration areas at the local Goleta campus.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with data in spreadsheets, databases, or planning systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, and/or material tracking.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience with process documentation, workflows, or playbooks to support consistent execution.
  • Experience with Master Production Scheduling (MPS) principles or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support material planning and execution by using MRP/ERP systems to determine requirements, align material availability with schedules, and release purchase requisitions.
  • Manage production flow from kit release through final assembly by initiating warehouse requests, releasing work orders, and monitoring assemblies across Goleta production centers.
  • Track raw material positions, work order progress, and production flow; prepare and distribute reports to inform leadership and program teams.
  • Verify material availability at point of use (POU), perform hardware cycle counts, and support line readiness to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and factory leadership to adjust production priorities in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Assist in coordinating end-of-month outbound shipments with Logistics to ensure contractual and export compliance.
  • Walk between multiple campus buildings daily (3,000-6,000 steps), routinely bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds in support of material movement activities.
  • Contribute to process consistency by documenting workflows, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting execution of standard practices.
