About The Position

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Requirements

High School diploma and 1 - 2 years of buyer, supply chain, materials, production scheduling, or related business experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
Proficient in MS Excel
SAP (or equivalent system) knowledge and experience
Six Sigma Green Belt
Working knowledge of MRP
Excellent Interpersonal Skills
Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Overall ownership of material ordering and availability, (i.e. New Material, Used Serviceable Material, etc.) and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels, at a minimum
Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)
Daily Shortage Management / Purchase order management – data input/updates
Conduct daily walks on the warehouse floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues/problem shelves
Assist in cycle count efforts as needed
Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and support corrective actions
Position may evolve to include other duties as required as the business needs change
