About the position
The Materials Planner position at Advanced Tech Staffing involves managing the procurement and supply of engineering materials for research and development projects. The role requires collaboration with various cross-functional teams to ensure efficient material flow and inventory management throughout the product cycle.
Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material throughout the procurement process.
- Creates purchase orders based on material requirements from engineering.
- Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering teams.
- Responsible for maintaining data integrity in procurement business systems, including bill of materials and parts/commodities numbers.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- 1 year of experience in analysis skills.
- 1 year of experience in data manipulation.
- 1 year of experience in creation of purchase orders.
- 1 year of experience in supplier relationship management.
- 1 year of experience in supply chain management.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with research and development.
