About the position
The Materials Planner/Scheduler is responsible for managing materials and scheduling processes within a manufacturing environment. This role involves maintaining customer relationships, managing vendor interactions, and ensuring effective communication regarding scheduling needs. The position requires a proactive approach to planning and performance reporting, with a focus on customer service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with customers and addressing customer service needs.
- Advocates for their deck to those responsible for scheduling.
- Manages vendor relationships effectively.
- Oversees customer service portals and ensures smooth operations.
- Maintains a record of relevant data for planning and performance reports.
- Takes complete ownership of the assigned deck.
- Performs additional duties with similar responsibilities as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; College Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Materials Planner/Scheduler.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (QAD preferred).
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
