About The Position

The Materials Planner is responsible for managing inventory and purchasing procedures for aircraft parts across multiple service hub warehouses. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to determine inventory requirements and develop effective stocking strategies, significantly impacting the company's materials and freight spending.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain and Logistics or Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain management role or related experience.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Statistical Analysis System (SAS).
  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems.
  • Knowledgeable in forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and control inventory of aircraft parts, analyzing inventory levels and planned maintenance consumption to create stocking models for distribution centers and service hub warehouses.
  • Coordinate with Fleet Managers, Maintenance Managers, Material Coordinators, Maintenance Planners, Engineering, and suppliers to develop effective materials strategies.
  • Manage the purchasing process by interacting directly with suppliers to secure the best pricing and lead times for parts.
  • Develop, revise, and implement policies and standard operating procedures that affect material planning and component repair.
  • Establish procedures and supervise the annual physical inventories at multiple locations.
