About The Position

The Materials Technician receives, stores, and distributes materials and equipment and maintains PAR Levels of supplies and verifies documentation to ensure the correct delivery and shipment of materials. This position will compile and maintain records to prepare purchase order placement, process files and records of products, prices, inventories, and deliveries. The Materials Technician will also contact vendors and suppliers to provide follow-up on outstanding purchase orders.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• MN Driver’s License and Proof of Insurability
• Skill in Microsoft Excel and has general computer knowledge
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize job responsibilities

• Previous Healthcare experience relating to supply Chain

Responsibilities

• Receive and store hospital supplies
• Confirm items received to Purchase Order
• Pull and deliver order requisitions for various departments, including off campus
• Distribute supplies
• Check Supply Outdates
• Prepare edits and place purchase orders to maintain general stores PAR Levels
• Manage PAR levels in Utility Rooms and Nurse Servers for Surgical, Medical, ICCU, OB, ER and Clinics
• Prepare all out going freight for shipping i.e. UPS, Fed Ex, etc.
• Collect instruments for SPD (Clinic Only)
• Maintain records of purchase orders, Year-End Inventory, pricing, and inventories
• Maintain professional communication with staff, sales representatives, and delivery personnel
