About The Position

What a day looks like You start your morning by opening our computerized scheduling platform and shaping a sequential plan for the day. You build the master schedule, mapping each operation, the order in which it happens, and the time needed to meet completion targets. Throughout the day, you fine-tune department workflows against established sequences and keep the overall sequence of operations flowing. Mid-morning, you sync with supervisors and managers to confirm task status and clear roadblocks. You also coordinate closely with Purchasing, Receiving, Logistics, and Accounting to make sure materials, information, and costs line up with the plan. When unexpected issues pop up, you expedite the bottleneck and adjust the schedule so commitments are still met. In the afternoon, you capture performance data for the department and verify that practices align with ISO requirements. You continually improve the scheduling program—tweaking logic, cadence, and workflows for better outcomes. At times, you’ll maintain Standards and Processes manuals, keep an eye on inventory health with weekly checks (including turns and related metrics), compile material/tool/equipment lists, and issue purchase orders to secure what production needs.
