About The Position

Manages and coordinates storage and distribution activities of the company to ensure maximum utilization of facilities and resources.

Requirements

• Lean Manufacturing Experience
• Knowledge of Kanban inventory management process
• Working knowledge of ERP / MRP Systems, Oracle preferred
• Strong office software skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Strong knowledge of resource management
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain management, operations management, business, economics, engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment
• 2+ years of leading/managing a team
• Manufacturing Environment
• May lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
• Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer

Responsibilities

• Administers operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse accuracy and acceptable for inventory.
• Assures products, parts, or supplies are shipped, distributed, or received in an efficient manner.
• Works with Director in ensuring coordination of warehouse activities such as kitting for production, cycle counting, resource management.
• Takes precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss.
• Evaluates inventory on hand.
• Manages salvage of damaged or used material.
• Screens, hires, trains staff, evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action for warehouse personnel.
• May participate in planning personnel-safety and plant-protection activities.
• Responsible for accuracy of receiving, put-a-ways and Kanban shipping.
• Seeks continuous improvement in activities of those individuals within position influence.
• Data driven and reporting of KPI’s
• Manage a 24X7 shop
