GD Energy Products is looking for a Materials Manager to work in Fort Worth, TX. Job Summary: Optimizes the administration of materials and finished products by coordinating activities, including material supply, inventory control, traffic, and customs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the materials control field as a manager/supervisor is required.
  • SAP experience is required.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Production Planning: Measures adherence to all planned schedules. Resolves any critical issues. Coordinates, evaluates, and implements engineering changes and establishes appropriate effective dates. Analyzes the final assembly schedules to determine parts availability and resolve conflicts with those schedules. Analyzes potential parts short falls and adjusts production schedules accordingly.
  • Inventory Control: Plans and requisitions parts to achieve the Master Schedule and service requirements. Requisitions all purchases/inter-factory orders and expedites based on weekly MRP output. Evaluates and control MRP parameters, including order policies, multiple order quantities, scrap factors, safety stock, minimums, and maximums.
  • Traffic: Coordinates shipping efforts, ensuring the plant(s) meets necessary production outputs on time.
  • New Products: Develops and monitors compliance with requirements related to the introduction of new products.
  • Policies/Processes: Develops order policies to maximize customer service and minimize inventory investments.
  • Management: Develops and maintains a competent workforce through recruitment, training, coaching, and establishing goals and objectives.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or required.
