About The Position
AAM is looking for a Materials Manager to join our Driveline team in Three Rivers, Michigan. This is a fully onsite role on the 1st shift. The Materials Manager oversees key processes and systems from direct material flow. They ensure efficient and safe method of transportation for products and services, and controls expenses from material handling resources such as staff, industrial vehicles, supplier-customer dunnage, and storage space. This person will develop and implement plans to meet or exceed key SCM objectives such as incident reduction, resource utilization, cost, premium freight, materials downtime, overtime management, hourly absenteeism, on time delivery, 5's, and financial and absolute inventory accuracy. They will also develop and maintain local SCM policies and procedures and participate in continuous improvement activities. This person will work daily with Operations Management, Project Management, and Logistics to assure company targets are met as efficiently as possible.
