About The Position

Materials Management & Transportation Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Materials Management & Transportation Manager (Level L) to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, MO. Position Responsibilities: Manages and integrates employee and first-level manager activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options. This position is for 1st shift. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ work experience in relevant career fields such as Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics
  • 3+ years of Management or leadership experience
  • Experience in Boeing material management organization or production control processes
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years’ experience as a front-line leader
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team
  • Prior experience with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) on Material Management and Accounting System requirements, with general CAS and FAR regulations
