About The Position

Wills Eye Hospital is hiring a Materials Management Coordinator in Cherry Hill, NJ at our Wills Eye Surgery Center in Cherry Hill location. In this role, you’ll ensure an uninterrupted flow of medical supplies and equipment to support all nursing areas within the Surgery Center . This is a Full-Time 40 hours per week opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in purchasing, inventory management, vendor coordination, and compliance with minimal supervision. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree
  • 3-5 years of materials management experience
  • Meet physical requirements: Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, and occasional lifting. Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks and maintain good overall fitness.
  • Requires visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee purchasing , planning, shipping/receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, supplies, and medical instruments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform cycle counts to maintain adequate supplies for optimal patient care.
  • Manage daily preference card depletion and ensure inventory accuracy in all systems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal departments and staff.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers and vendors to meet the Surgery Center's operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance, delivery, and cost control.
