Job Summary: Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of materials. Verifies and fills purchase requisitions. Monitors and restocks floor supplies. Searches inventory records to determine if the material on hand is in sufficient quantity. Print requisitions and send copies to the department originating the request. Enters items purchased or transferred between departments. Confers with departments concerning backorders. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good customer relations skills a must. Must have the ability to work independently and at a moderately fast pace. Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos and able to respond to the same. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Basic computer skills are needed to perform a job satisfactorily.
