About The Position

Materials Management and Transportation Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join our 737 Fulfillment team in Renton , WA . 2nd shift: Mon-Fri – 1:30 pm till 10 pm. Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.) Join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing the fulfillment operations for the 737 program. You will help us improve compliance while driving stock availability of key commodities, Hazmat, Consumables and Standards. This position offers the opportunity to lead employees and ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of Customer Service, Efficiency and Compliance. Our team is currently hiring for a Level K Materials Management and Transportation Manager for 2nd shift. Position Responsibilities: Manages and integrates employee activities across more than one area in Hazmat, Consumables and Standards. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Leads, develops and motivates employees. Possesses a mindset of safety and quality; influences the team to exhibit Boeing Values and Behaviors

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain and inventory management
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams (This includes managing team assignments, tracking status and developing a team’s talent)
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • 5+ years of experience working in Operations and/or manufacturing processes
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 1+ years of experience in Inventory Management / Inventory Management Methodologies
  • 1+ years of experience with Problem Solving Methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and/or the Production System
  • 3+ years of experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • 3+years of experience do you have in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
  • 3+ years of experience with business knowledge, leadership and people skills to inspire a safe work environment
