About The Position

International's Huntsville Powertrain Plant is currently seeking a Materials Logistics Supervisor to lead our inbound logistics team. In this key leadership role, you'll be the go-to expert for applying Lean Manufacturing principles, driving efficiency, and managing high-performing logistics team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is central to our plant's daily success—ensuring logistics goals are met while cultivating a culture focused on safety, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of materials management or supply chain experience, OR a Master's degree and at least 1 year of materials management or supply chain experience, OR at least 5 years of materials management or supply chain experience.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis to be employed in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in logistics, supplier performance reliability, material availability, warehouse management, inventory accuracy.
  • Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Solid grasp of P&L drivers and cost control measures.
  • Strong decision-making and rapid problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience leading teams in high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all activities related to material procurement, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and storage.
  • Develop and maintain effective policies, procedures, and material control systems to ensure timely and cost-effective material availability.
  • Oversees the planning and coordination of material schedules in collaboration with purchasing, production, and engineering teams to meet organizational needs while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to prepare material requirement plans and support production control operations.
  • Lead and supervise daily logistics to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Adjust and prioritize schedules based on demand and material flow.
  • Champion Lean initiatives such as 5S, and real-time process management.
  • Manage budgets, labor resources, and workforce planning.
  • Quickly identify and resolve logistics and process issues.
  • Working cross-functionally with Corporate Logistics, Production, Procurement, Engineering departments.
  • Mentor and develop team members for long-term success.
