We are currently recruiting to fill the role of Materials/Logistics Coordinator in Huger, SC. The Materials/Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and cost-effective procurement and on-time delivery of tools, equipment and materials necessary for the mechanical maintenance of steel casting equipment. The Coordinator is also responsible for identifying and securing efficient transportation and storage solutions for these products.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Required minimum of two (2) years successful experience in shipping/receiving, and/or purchasing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good management and organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Input and manipulation of data using software tools such as SAP and Microsoft Office tools
  • Receive shipments and verify accuracy
  • Track and enter material receiving data
  • Maintain stock levels of inventory items including general shop and office supplies
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports in support of operations and finance
  • Maintain accuracy and up-to-date entry in the system of record
  • Identify, schedule, and monitor transportation for incoming materials
  • Review, prepare, and route purchase orders
  • Ensure safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments
  • Monitor shipments and costs
  • Address and resolve shipment and inventory issues
  • Acquire material pricing from suppliers at request of local management
  • May train less experienced Inventory Control Clerks
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Operate forklift and overhead crane
  • Package parts for shipment
