About The Position

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve a result.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 3 years of experience
  • Or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of SAP Materials/Procurement experience, or 5 years of experience in similar functions
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Leads tactical Gate 2 launch efforts into Gate 3 by communicating shortages and need dates
  • Leads inventory control/reduction cadence, i.e. aged inventory, excess & obsolete, etc.
  • Leads Professional Band & OTHSAL employee operational cadence as a part of the Gate 2 Transformation effort
  • Resolves issues using established procedures as a first-level escalation point.
  • Consults business leader and site leadership team regarding material issues impacting site targets
  • Collaborate and coach others to adhere to Standard Work utilizing FLIGHT DECK fundamentals.
  • Leads small teams in problem-solving events utilizing FLIGHT DECK fundamentals.
  • Leads SAP data points that feed KPIs (SQDC in that order)
  • Role could include Purchasing and/or Supplier Management based upon business need
  • Collaborates with GE Sourcing and Supply Chain to ensure timely Material movement
