They are seeking an experienced Materials Laboratory Manager to lead their construction materials testing and inspection services in Rexburg, Idaho. This role involves overseeing laboratory and field testing operations, managing technical staff, ensuring compliance with state and industry standards, and supporting transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the region.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in construction materials testing or materials laboratory management
• Experience supporting transportation and infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of construction materials testing procedures and standards
• Experience managing field and laboratory staff
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• ACI Certified
• Related ITD Certifications
• IQP
• WAQTC: Density
• WAQTC: Asphalt
• WAQTC: Concrete Field ACI
• WAQTC: Concrete Lab ACI

Responsibilities

• Provide staff oversight for sampling and testing procedures
• Provide accurate sampling and documentation for test results
• Develop scope of work
• Schedule and deploy technicians for field sampling
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained according to QA/QC protocols.
• Follow company and industry safety protocols and maintain a clean lab environment.
• Coordinate with project engineers and field technicians to prioritize test scheduling.
• Assist with field sampling or inspections as needed.
