Under indirect supervision, the Materials, Inventory Control is responsible for the proper handling of materials, ensuring correct distribution and timely supply of materials to work areas, and verifying accurate inventory control. Specific Functions Support Inventory control with inventory discrepancies. Evaluate inventory forecasts. Execute exception messages. Expedite materials. Follow up on receipt issues such as ASN and Purchase Orders. Prepare reports and escalate shortages internally and with Sourcing. Maintain system reliability to keep inventory at established levels. Identify materials needed to meet the production plan. Procurement of materials, receipt of raw materials, and shipment of products. Provide feedback to internal and external suppliers regarding excess inventory. Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Production Planner. Follow all plant safety policies and other precautions within the work area. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with the Environmental Management System. Ensure accuracy in receiving (actual receipt vs. electronic receipt). Provide supporting data for shipping and inventory analysis. Collaborate and communicate with product managers, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Support supplier evaluations for key services/products as needed. Follow Toro Company’s file management policies for proper information handling, retention schedules, training, document holds, record destruction, archiving, and third-party provider requirements.
