Thanks for your commitment to Tyson Foods. Management Level: Class 4 This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. The starting base rate of pay is $21.05 per hour with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift position placement. We currently have various positions open that applicants may be considered for. Position schedules vary by available positions and some schedules may include a 7-day rotation. Role Overview: This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Have 3 months of operator experience with various types of powered industrial vehicles or material handling equipment.
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
  • Have no more than 4 attendance points.
  • Have had no suspensions within the past 12 months.
  • Have no more than 2 written warnings in the last 12 months.
  • Have no lateral, downward, or self-disqualification unless for higher classification for the past 6 months.
  • New TM’s still in 30 days of probationary period are not eligible to bid.
  • Probationary TM’s bidding after their first 30 days, must have no more than 2 points.

Responsibilities

  • Learn product codes, know where product belongs and keep pre-blend cooler organized.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport raw product to and from coolers and production areas.
  • Be responsible for weighing and recording the weight of finished ground product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
