Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Required to work overtime when overtime shifts are scheduled.
Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours.
Good communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and successfully participate as a member of a team.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, and electrostatic discharge wear. You will be provided the PPE for the required areas.
Work in an environment with these types of smells: paint, solvent, and solder.
Frequently lift 35 lbs.
Occasionally to frequently lift 45 lbs., in some work areas.
Stand for the full shift with planned breaks. The duration of standing between breaks varies from 2-3 ½ hours depending on work area.
Work from heights, including working from ladders and platforms.
Reach in all directions (up, down, side-to-side, and diagonal reaching), including some awkward reaching to insert components in difficult to reach sections of the product.
Maintain steady hand/eye coordination.
Identify wire and paint colors.
Read fine print.
Fluent in English, written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

Forklift driving experience preferred. Daktronics will provide forklift training upon hire. Must be able to maintain appropriate forklift certification after completion of training.
Overhead crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport, unload, and store inventory parts.
Receive and unload shipments from vendors.
Put material away in designated inventory locations using hierarchy and FIFO.
Move material as needed by driving route truck.
Prepare and deliver material to production.
Complete inventory transactions accurately as needed.
Assist in other duties as assigned by the Inventory supervisor and crew leader.
Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Must be able to follow instructions.
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record and work additional hours when workload justifies.
Become knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer and department expectations.
Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Safely and responsibly use tools and safe lifting practices.
Consistently complete quality work in a timely manner including repetitive tasks.
Quickly learn new tasks and accurately perform these tasks as assigned.
Work effectively as a team member; help when and where needed, make suggestions for process and product improvement, and communicate effectively with team members.
Must be flexible and have the ability to work in all other areas of the factory including Inventory as well as manufacturing.
