About The Position
As a Materials Handler at our Wendell, NC location, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations of our business unit, which boasts a diverse portfolio of products including electric-vehicle chargers, low voltage MCC, CMR fuse savers, MV switchgear, MV circuit breakers, and various power monitoring and protective relay systems. Your primary responsibilities will include the movement of materials, which encompasses receiving, storing, picking, delivering, and maintaining inventory of all items. You will be tasked with transporting materials to production areas and ensuring that all processes are documented accurately using the SAP system. This role requires a strong focus on safety, as you will be operating equipment such as stand-up reach trucks, stand-up order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles. In addition to material handling, you will conduct daily inspections of moving equipment to ensure safe operation. Your duties will also involve unloading and receiving production materials, counting and verifying incoming materials, and performing cycle counts of materials in the storeroom. You will be responsible for packing and shipping materials efficiently and damage-free, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are properly documented. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will need to adhere to developed processes and methods while seeking opportunities for improvement. A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others are essential, as you will be part of a team that prioritizes safety and efficiency in all operations.
