About The Position

In this role, the successful candidate performs receiving, inspection and delivery duties for the warehouse, clean room and main Hospital loading dock. Completes designated departmental requisitions, picks and delivers inventory items to user departments. Packs and prepares items for shipping, and prepares and maintains shipping records in a professional, timely manner and with the constant awareness that the quality of the department's services. Have a direct impact on the institution's ability to provide excellent patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Communication skills (both oral and written) and customer service essential.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials and or move up to 100 pounds regularly.

Nice To Haves

• 1- 2 years Previous warehouse, materials, or inventory experience.
• 1 - 2 years Materials Management in experience.
• Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all receiving is completed appropriately. Matches packing slip to items received. Enters receiver into the inventory management system and files all packing slips appropriately.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Responsible for filing shipping record daily.
• Facilitates shipping of supplies and equipment designated for return. Ships packages, uses scale and finalizes shipping daily.
• Maintains the loading dock areas in a neat and orderly manner. Sweeps, empties garbage, disposes of all empty cardboard boxes and places in the appropriate receptacle for pick-up at the end of day.
• Operates warehouse equipment in a safe manner (i.e. power pallet jacks, manual pump jack, delivery vehicles, lift plates etc.).
• Stages order for delivery to hospital. Prepares stock orders for hospital departments. Locates, fills and labels orders appropriately.
