Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. This position functions as a Warehouse Worker in the Food Service Department at a Bureau of Prisons (BOP) federal correctional facility. The incumbent is responsible for supervising inmate workers who receive, store, and issue a wide variety of supplies, material, equipment, and commodities required in the operation of the Food Service Department. Additionally, the role includes clerical, Funds Control, Time and Attendance, and budgeting duties as assigned by the Food Service Administrator, requiring a working knowledge of policies and procedures related to this office and the food service aspect of the institution. The incumbent is also responsible for delivery follow-up on outstanding purchase orders placed with commercial vendors and must maintain the security of the institution as a primary responsibility.
