Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. The position functions as a Warehouse Worker Foreman, responsible for work on a rotational basis, that includes the warehouse, commissary and clothing issue/laundry operations at a Federal Bureau of Prisons' facility. The incumbent supervises inmate workers responsible for receiving, storing, shipment, and issue of a wide variety of supplies, materials, equipment and commodities required in the operation of the facility, as well as the issuance of inmate clothing and laundering of items for inmates and institutional operations such as Health Services or Food Service. The role includes maintaining adequate shipping and receiving documents and inventory documentation, using both manual procedures and automated data processing systems, to maintain a system of perpetual inventory accountability for all items that pass through or remain under the incumbent's control. Along with all other correctional institution employees, the incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
