Raytheon is seeking a successful candidate to perform duties concerning handling, moving, and storing materials from assisting with transport through oversight and maintenance of stored products. Operates heavy machinery for moving and storing materials and complies with safety rules and regulations. Processes incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepares merchandise for shipping. Moves merchandise between operations. May operate forklift, crane, or other conveyance machinery. Maintains records of materials and merchandise. Checks invoices and bills of lading. Performs scheduling of shop loading and physical control of in-process inventories. Expedites workflow and helps coordinate changes in schedules. Includes warehousing activities. What You Will Do: Monitor kitting racks and drop zones for hardware needing to be routed to assigned work cell, this includes but is not limited to shortages filled, kits, etc. Move parts dispositioned for RTV/SCRAP to SMA/pack-ship or other applicable areas. Responsible for line flow audits Perform WIP audits to verify material aged at an operation is physically located in the corresponding area Support the tracking of materials (transacted in PRISM by others) via PRISM and Raytrak Support the submission of SOS tickets to expedite items, initiate return to stock requests, and to request discrepancy investigations Responsible for logistics activities which may include: de-trashing, creating and maintaining organized totes for kits for the manufacturing floor, validating kit items Successful candidate will be required to move material via carts or pallet jacks and may move material between factories. Must be willing and able to lift 28 lbs. Occasional weekend work may be required. This position is 1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience with moving pallet jacks
  • Experience accomplishing daily work tasks with a minimal amount of supervision and moderate direction, with the ability to be proactive and drive action accordingly.
  • Experience applying critical thinking techniques, using logic and reasoning to identify approaches to problems, and the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in SAP
  • Experience working with inventory management systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and environments
  • Course work, academic projects, or professional experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or any other Operations-related field
  • Experience presenting and communicating effectively, both written and verbal.
