About The Position

This position is responsible for bringing all products, such as film, meat, bread, cheese, cartons and boxes to each line. Ensure each line does not run out of supplies, including pallets. Remove all finished product from the line to QA then to the shipping freezer while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 6 months Forklift experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
• Must have 6 months of work history in the past 12 months.
• Candidate must have the ability to verbally communicate material effectively for training purposes.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

• Accurate setup of each line by identifying each material, bringing correct product to line, checking that there are enough supplies to finish the item being run and scanning each item before going to the next phase.
• Provide necessary supplies in the proper condition in accordance with company policy.
• Returning unused items to proper storage locations.
• Responsible for keeping up with all materials and reporting misuse of raw materials and supplies.
• Alert appropriate personnel of potential spoilage of raw materials.
• Perform a daily inspection on each lift and report damage to appropriate personnel.
• Assist plant personnel with tasks requiring forklift operation.
• Operate pallet wrap machine and ability to train others in its safe and proper operation.
• Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures as low as -30 degrees.
• Must be willing and able to routinely lift up to 65 lbs.
