About The Position

We are looking for a Materials Handler to join our collaborative team at Memorial Health! The role involves monitoring supply par levels in consuming departments' supply areas, downloading data from hand-held computers to personal computers, delivering picked supplies, shelving department supplies, maintaining order of departmental supply areas, and monitoring expiration dates on supplies in Materials. Additionally, the Materials Handler will assist the Store Handler in pulling orders from the stockroom for delivery to the supply area, assist with receiving, deliver special order items, and file documents pertaining to the purchasing process and hazardous materials. The position requires substituting for other roles in the department as needed and assisting other Materials staff as time permits. The candidate is expected to exhibit behaviors reflective of Memorial's core values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service, demonstrate regular and predictable attendance, and attend all mandatory education and in-services. Furthermore, the Materials Handler must perform within the prescribed limits of the hospital's and department's Ethics and Compliance program and take responsibility for detecting, observing, and reporting compliance variances.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school education.
  • Demonstrable ability to lift approximately fifty (50) pounds.
