As a key member of Facilities, you’ll have a hands-on impact every day—overseeing dock operations, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring essential resources reach the right departments. Your work will help streamline processes, improve service responsiveness, and strengthen the overall efficiency of our campus infrastructure. Beyond logistics, this position plays an important part in creating welcoming and functional spaces for students, staff, and visitors. From supporting major events and room configurations to helping maintain safe access during winter weather, you will contribute to experiences that shape the campus community. Requirements

  • One (1) year of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
  • Colorado law requires that candidates for state government jobs be residents of Colorado at the time of application.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with persons of diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills for the purpose of logging and tracking.
  • Physical ability.

Responsibilities

  • Provides escort services for delivery personnel and assists with receiving materials, equipment, supplies, and furniture while ensuring the security and cleanliness of loading dock areas.
  • Performs the setup and teardown of event equipment—including canopies, stages, tables, and chairs—in coordination with supervisory staff to ensure timely and accurate event preparation.
  • Assists in the removal, processing, and proper disposition of surplus, damaged, outdated, or unusable items in compliance with institutional policies and environmental requirements.
  • Maintains safe and accessible entrances, walkways, and loading zones during winter weather by monitoring conditions and performing snow and ice removal as needed.
  • Provides general facilities support as assigned to maintain safe, efficient, and customer‑focused operations
