Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the movement and storage of production parts within the plant; and ensures production line has the correct parts for production in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Powered Industrial Truck Permit (requires a passing score on the Powered Industrial Truck training tests administered by Magna Seating Detroit).
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

  • Moves parts on the plant floor and in the shipping/receiving area through the operation of a forklift truck.
  • Supplies parts to assembly stations and sequencing lanes in a timely manner.
  • Loads and unloads parts from trucks.
  • Maintains stock in an organized fashion (FIFO).
  • Assists with monthly physical inventories and daily cycle counts.
  • Initiates, recommends or provides solutions through appropriate channels; participates in Kaizen/MPS activities.
  • Completes all paperwork associated with the job assignment in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter, the Occupational Health & Safety Act. and the Michigan Occupational Health & Safety Act.
