About The Position

Continental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with over 75 years of proven performance. CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories. The Material Expeditor's role is to perform a variety of routine shipping/receiving stores and related material handling assignments in support of production control and manufacturing operations following specific instructions. Reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. Machines and Equiment Used: Hand truck, dolly, forklift, delivery vehicle (truck less than 26,000 lbs), etc. This position will start out in our Dallas location but will move to Richardson at Plano Road and Lookout in 2026.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) to two (2) years of directly related material handling experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Must have a good driving record and at least a Class C Texas License.

  • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Notifies Supervisor of absence as required by company policies; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, machines, or trucks as required
  • Conveys material using hand trucks, dolly, forklift, or other devices, stacking or assembling material in or near plant operations
  • Performs a combination of shipping/receiving tasks under specific direction, using hand tools as needed
  • Counts, weighs, verifies, and kits material; records information and routes material to destination
  • Receives incoming material and/or prepares material for shipment
  • Uses Company vehicle to make deliveries and pick up orders from vendors
  • May lay out and assemble non-standard shipping crates and boxes; prepare parts and tooling for special shipment
  • May perform daily routine cycle audit counting and assist higher-level personnel in performance of more complex tasks following specific instructions
