What you will do: The Materials Engineering Intern will work within the BE Materials Lab team under the direction of full-time Materials engineers. How you will do it: The activities that the intern would perform include: Sample Preparations of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. Etching, polishing and microscopy of various metallic alloys . Use of Image Analysis software for documenting and analyzing various microstructures. EDS/SEM analysis of materials including imaging and spectral analysis. Mechanical testing of materials. What we look for: Current Junior or Senior in a relevant Engineering field at an accredited university. Candidates with a major in Materials Science or with strong background or experience in Materials preferred. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $21-24/hour (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) Requirements
