Requirements

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Auto CAD and Pro-E.

Responsibilities

• Focus on melt cycle optimization through standard work and tap to tap tracking.
• Understand and promote least cost charge, chemistry change, and adjust training with all employees to expand knowledge among hourly team members.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
• Assist in other projects and function as a resource for other team members.
• Participate in the fundamentals of product design and development including testing using a variety of tools and equipment.
• Document and improve processes.
